The Hospitality Committee will begin showing free, monthly movies starting Thursday, January 26th at 7 PM. Free popcorn and soft drinks will be served as we watch our favorite movies together on the big screen TV. Movies will be shown the last Thursday of each month at 7 PM in the Parish Hall. Please join us and feel free to invite friends and family.
Our first movie will be Remembrance a 2011 German drama film directed by Anna Justice, based on a true love story. A 2014 Rotten Tomatoes review summarizes the movie by stating; “Hannah Silberstein's researcher husband and college aged daughter have a comfortable life on Manhattan's Upper East Side, until a chance sighting of Tomasz, her Polish wartime lover and the man who saved her from the camp and smuggled out the photo evidence of the final solution, on a TV interview, stirs her old quest to find him. Anna Justice's magnificent exploration of the two sides of the moral obligations of life, love and courage and their consequences is a "must see" cinema adaptation of their true story. The past is never done ... and even moving on the past remains.”
