THE MIDDLESEX COUNTY MUSEUM AND HISTORICAL SOCIETY invites the public to their annual Fish Fry to be held on Friday, October 12 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Christ Church Parish Hall. Chef Wells will be frying up some of the best fish you’ve ever eaten. The menu includes fried Atlantic white fish, biscuits made from scratch, fresh hand-mixed cold slaw, and decadent home-made triple chocolate brownies accompanied with iced tea and water. Take-out is available but there is a cash bar and live entertainment provided for those who eat in the dining room.
Clayton Neil, who is a founding member of the locally popular band called Jumbo Lump Daddy and the Backfin Boys, will provide the entertainment with a “rivahdacious” blend of folk, rock’n roll, soul, country, Cajun, and blue grass. He has performed in various bands as a vocalist, a guitarist, and a harmonica player.
The tickets are $15.00 each and may be ordered by mailing a check payable to “The Middlesex Museum” and mailed to THE MIDDLESEX MUSEUM AND HISTORICAL SOCIETY, P.O. BOX 121, SALUDA, VA 23149. Guests may also visit the museum website at https://middlesexmuseum.com/ and order tickets on-line, or visit the museum where tickets will be sold on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Tickets are limited in number and should be purchased without delay.
