The 27th annual General Lewis B. "Chesty" Puller Memorial, which is being presented by the Marine Detachment, Fort Lee, originally set for 1-3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, has been rescheduled due to weather concerns. Gen. Puller’s memorial is now set for 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23. It will be at General Puller’s gravesite located at Christ Church Parish Cemetery at 56 Christchurch Lane. Puller, who served with distinction in World War II and the Korean War, is the most decorated Marine in American history. The Marines at Marine Detachment Fort Lee conduct this memorial so that new Marines have a better understanding of who Lieutenant General Puller was, and his significance to the Marine Corps.
