Stewardship

Stewardship is about being grateful, responsible stewards of the gifts we receive from God. The tradition of giving back to God and to the church comes from the Biblical practice of “tithing,” which means to give back a tenth of our earnings to God (Numbers 18:26). The Episcopal Church sees stewardship as more than simply contributing money to the church; it’s also about contributing time and talents, and volunteering for ministry and mission. It’s about reaching out to build relationships from a perspective of abundance instead of scarcity.

Thank You!

Join Us In Giving Thanks For Our Many Blessings: Our Loving Sharing Members

Our Church is oh so blessed with Members who have generously contributed to our financial well-being.  Here is Much Applause for You for the things you have done, are doing or have promised to do for the benefit of your Christ Church Parish.
  •  Many members pledged and/or contributed to our support in 2015.
  •  Many members pledged support for 2016.
  •  Many Members have expressed plans to contribute in 2016.
  •  In December, Will & Suzi Hutchens graciously established the Hutchens Challenge, stating that if you would contribute up to $10,000, they would match it dollar for dollar.
  •  Many members rose to the Hutchens Challenge, contributing or pledging additional amounts to the extent that the Challenge was met and exceeded.
So, what has happened? If all pledged contributions and unpledged contributions are made as normally anticipated, our 2016 budget should be fulfilled. The additional expenses for the Bishop Curry visit, 350th Celebration, new Rector and Search committee expenses should be provided for. This is overwhelmingly wonderful.

Thank You!! You Are the Blessings of our Church.
